Top 10 Favourite Baby Bottles from Newborn
This week we have done some research on what the top 10 favourite baby bottles are amongst new Mums. Every baby will feed differently and so there are a choice of bottles with different features which will support how your baby feeds or prefers to feed.
This could be:
- Babies suffering from Colic and wind.
- Breast to bottle
- Pace feeding ( to enable a comfortable feeding position)
- Reflux baby-(aiding feeding in a sitting up position)
- Combination feeding
- Night-time feeding

10. HEVEA GLASS BABY BOTTLE
The Hevea Glass Bottle comes with a rubber cover so if you do dop it, it will not shatter. The teat is made with natural rubber so will feel softer than the silicone teats. Its an attractive bottle but Mums have said this brand is quite expensive.
9. DR BROWNS OPTIONS+ ANTIC COLIC BOTTLE
This bottle comes in a choice of glass or plastic. It is BPA free and dishwasher safe. It is best for preemie babies as you can buy a very slow flow teat which is 47% slower than a Level 1 teat. It comes with an antic colic vent, which is removable if symptoms of colic improve. There were reports that they can be prone to leaking sometimes.
8. NUK FIRST CHOICE+ TEMPERTURE CONTROL BOTTLE
This is a plastic bottle which is BPA free. It is not dishwasher safe. This bottle has a temperature control alert, so if the milk is too hot you can see, It also has a anti colic vent. The teat comes in a soft latex and has an orthodontic shape, like a nipple. This makes this bottle good for combination feeding.
7. VITAL BABY NURTURE BREAST LIKE FEEDING BOTTLE
This is a wide neck plastic bottle which is BPA free and dishwasher safe. The wide neck allows easy cleaning. The teat is flattened so soft on baby’s face and mimics the breast. It also has anti colic features. However, reports have said that the teat can invert if the baby has a strong suck. Good for combination feeding.
6. NUBY REDUCE REFLEX BOTTLE
A plastic bottle which is BPA free and Dishwasher safe. This bottle encourages an upright feeding position and a slower sucking action which is good for reflux babies.
They are easy to clean and good value for money. Good for combination feeding. Also has a glow in the dark ring so you can see how much baby has fed at night time. Lots of Mum’s rated this bottle.
5. TOMEE TIPEE ADVANCED ANTI COLIC BOTTLE
This is a plastic bottle which is BPA free and dishwasher safe. It has an anti-colic system which reduces bubbles. It has a temperature strip to measure if the milk is too hot. The teat is a shape to mimic the breast, making it good for combination feeding and transferring from breast to bottle. You are advised to stir in the feed instead of shaking the bottle to combine the powder with the water.
4. HABERMAN SUCKLE FEEDER
This is a plastic bottle which is BPA free, but not dishwasher safe. This bottle is good for pace feeding-teat remains full at any angle so the baby can feed at their most comfortable position. This is good for combination feeding and transferring from breast to bottle. Some Mums said they are a bit fiddley to put together if you do not know what you are doing.
3. TOMMEE TIPPEE CLOSER TO NATURE BOTTLE
This is available in glass and plastic and are good for babies transferring from breast to bottle. BPA free and dishwasher safe. There were mixed reviews about the teat, saying it needed to be flatter, but overall a good value popular bottle. Wide necked so easy to clean.
2. PHILIPS AVENT ANTI COLIC BOTTLE
This is a plastic bottle which is BPA free and dishwasher safe. It has the antic colic vent, which can be removed if colic reduces. Mums have said this is a good all-round regular baby bottle. I(t’s the bottle I used when my children were babies!)

This is a plastic bottle which is BPA free and dishwasher safe. It has a self-sterilising feature when used in the microwave which has proved very popular as it makes it easy to use and saves time by not having to use a steriliser! Some said the teat could be flatter.
It has an antic colic vent which reduces bubbles. Teats are made from silicone which is soft on baby’s skin. It seems to be the favourite!
It is worth saying again, that every baby is different and it may take a few practices with different bottles to see which one is best for them.
It is also worth considering, if you are combination feeding, you may need to buy slower and faster flow teats, as formula milk is a thicker consistency to breast milk.
