Insurance For Nannies

During our Registration Interview I ask our candidates if they have Nanny insurance.

I would estimate only 20% of nannies have Nanny Insurance, unless they are Ofsted registered, where having insurance as a nanny is part of their registration process.

Why do I need Nanny Insurance?

It is important to have Nanny insurance our view, here at the Nanny Connection.

Here are the reasons why.

Nanny Insurance covers you for:

  • Accidental bodily harm
  • Third Party property damage
  • Accidental admission of drugs and medicines.
  • Personal accident cover
  • Claims made against you
  • Legal fees

With some policies they will also have legal, tax and counselling helplines, which can be helpful in stressful situations, which looking at the list above, would all be stressful situations for any Nanny.

For professionalism and peace of mind we feel it is a big benefit for a Nanny to have specialised insurance.

Here are some companies that offer insurance for nannies:

Morton Michel
