An Expert Career Guide For Nannies

We have developed a special Nanny Professional Career Guide and workbook for Nannies, to help guide and perhaps give structure to their career path.

Stuck in a rut?

I see a lot of child carers loose their way sometimes, or get stuck in a rut. Being a Nanny, you are working on your own, and have to have a lot of self motivation to drive yourself forward. Here at The Nanny Connection, we want to support Nannies in their career as best we can, and so we have developed a special workbook to help with structure and vision.

Development

Working in childcare certainly does not have to be boring! You can develop yourself as much as you would like, and also drive yourself forward into other avenues. For example, this year I took an Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health Course, which I found really interesting. I now have an awareness of mental health in children and young people, how to spot the signs of mental health and what to do. This can be incorporated into my childcare career very easily, as well as my role as a Mother. I could now go on to further my knowledge or utilise the knowledge as is. Or perhaps look for a role where I can develop and use the knowledge I have learnt like a teaching assistant role, or a SEN learning assistant role.

I see and hear from many Nannies about what they should do next, or how to develop themselves. It can be easy for their career to become boring, as they do not see a “step up”, but that could not be further from the truth. Life is all about what you get out of it, is what you put in!

Free Workbook

In our workbook, Nannies have to give thought on their strength and weaknesses, their aims and aspirations and challenges that might effect their journey and how to overcome those. We have given a guide on courses and qualifications, and what avenues they can explore.

Please do contact us if you would like to be sent a free workbook, or any other information on professional development.
